(republican)Dino Rossi Bio: He went to the University of Seattle working on a business degree. When he was going there he was a janitor waxing floors at the space needle. After he graduation he went into commercial real estate business. He was the Washington state senate from 1997- 2003. He represented to 5th legislative district in the east king country. In 2003 he was the chairman of the senate ways and means committee.

(Democrat)Patty Murry Bio: was elected for U.S. senate in 1992. She also does appropriations, budget, health, education, labor, and pensions, veterans, rules, and Administration committees. She chairs the transportation housing subcommittee and employment workplace, and safety subcommittee on the appropriations and help committess respectively.


  • This race is so close with these two clean cut children, because first of they have never been more than four points apart. currently Murry has the lead with 48% to 44%. Nate Silver who is a polling analyst says, that the people are predicting 46% probability that the democrats(Murry) will lose that seat.

Dino Rossi has pulled out slightly ahead of Patty Murray who is pro- abortion. Voters from Washington show that Rossi has 49% of their votes and she has 46% and the other 3% would rather have someone else. A week ago people were voting 48% Rossi and 47% Murray. This race is still close, but reporters are saying that Marruy is starting to fall, and Rossi is starting to rise.

As of November 1st Patty Murray is currently leading against Dino Rossi to a 51 to 44 race.

Dino Rossi was trailing Democratic Patty Murray 722,396 to 708,391. It could be several days before this race is settled there were more than 508,000 ballots left to process as of Election Day, according to the Secretary of State’s office. Murray was leading in only eight of 39 counties, among them more populous King and Snohomish. Rossi is familiar with close races. The former state senator and Ways and Means chairman ran for governor in 2004, losing to Democrat Christine Gregoire by only 133 votes out of more than 2.7 million ballots cast after three hand-recounts and a lawsuit over disputed ballots.
